Our Mission

The mission of the Nocona Education Foundation is to partner with the community to support excellence in education by providing resources that enhance innovative teaching, encourage inspired learning, and expand opportunities for Nocona ISD students and educators.

Education foundations are non-profit entities that raise funds to enhance public education beyond what tax dollars can provide.

Through the Nocona Education Foundation, we intend to create a virtuous cycle that strengthens our school system, equips students for success, and benefits our community.

What are Education Foundations?

The Nocona Education Foundation pledges our resources, time, service, tax-deductible donations, grant funds, and expertise with the purpose of investing resources locally and to complement the educational mission of Nocona ISD.

A local education foundation strengthens a community’s ability to support local priorities rather than relying solely on state and federal programs. While public funding is essential, it often comes with restrictions, requirements, and limited flexibility. A foundation can direct resources toward the needs and opportunities identified by local educators, families, businesses, and community leaders.

The Nocona Education Foundation is governed by an independent, volunteer board of directors including community leaders, former educators, business professionals, parents, and alumni. While we consult with The Nocona ISD, we operate independently and our grants and spending are disbursed at the discretion of the Nocona Education Foundation Board of Directors.

Organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes, our board shares a vision for educational excellence, student achievement, and career advancement with an emphasis on encouraging graduates to return to Nocona as contributors to our community.

Recognizing Your Profound Impact

When a community invests in education, the return is measured in generations.

Contributions are an investment in our classrooms, student learning, career training, and the future of our community. We want to proudly recognize supporters of the foundation at our events, on social media, and here on OUR DONORS page.

Founding donors receive additional recognition if their contributions are made during the initial 2026-2027 campaign.

Pledges may be paid on a monthly basis, with donor recognition based on the total contribution for the year.
